With Covid continuing to strangle cultural life as the summer of 2020 proceeded, an outdoor exhibition project staged on a roof terrace of the Westwerk building was curated by the artist O. von Pock. Under the title «Garten E«, von Pock invited me and the photographer Theodor Yemenis to dialogue with her own sculptural works with various photographs tracing the theme of atrophy, decadence and emotional camoulflage in nature.
My selection of photographs, all set behind glass in strange frames (the show was held outdoors and the weather was unpredictable…), were installed in half-hidden places between plants, vines and grasses. They all speak of an edgy relationship to nature.
